On 9/11 Zade was scheduled to give a house concert for some friends in rural Maine. For obvious reasons, the performance was delayed. Beginning in September, 2001, Zade spent three years on the road playing on an average of 250 nights per year promoting the message of peace and tolerance through music. To effectively promote his message, Zade established the Zade Foundation for International Peace and Understanding in the United States in the Spring of 2005.

The foundation gives opportunity and hope to young musicians, and encourages them to reach out to whom they consider from "the other side," using the international language of music.

To date, the Zade Foundation has created
Roads to You and the Beautiful World Project; giving hundreds of workshops across America and the world, and has awarded over 50 scholarships to young musicians from different parts of the world.

As strong believers in partnerships with international organizations, the private sector, local non-profits, and individuals, the Zade Foundation continues to evolve. Our voice, in alliance with other sectors is committed to supporting young musicians who are passionate about sharing a deeper understanding of their respective cultures, and inspiring them to leave legacies that would benefit generations to come.

We welcome you to join our efforts to help promote unity and reconciliation using music, in the midst of a continuously polarized world.
